Construction Hoist is used on construction sites to vertically transport materials and/or passengers. This hoist is a device used for lifting or lowering a load by means of a drum or lift-wheel around which rope or chain wraps. It may be manually operated, electrically or pneumatically driven and may use chain, fibre or wire rope as its lifting medium. Construction Hoist is also used for transporting passengers and for getting key team members where they need to be quickly and safely. This hoist is most commonly powered by diesel engines or electric motors that rotate a drum around which a wire rope is wound.
